Who she is

A young woman with a seeker mother (tribal exile) and midlander father. She introduces herself by her full name but insists on being called Rae. She can be sweet but spicy at the same time. She grew up in occupied Gyr Abania though she doesn't speak much on it past that. She used to cover herself due to extensive scarring but she has learned to wear them like a badge of survival and pride over shame. She was staying in Gridania with the conjurer's guild till she stayed with a group in Emperyeum for a time. She now has her own apartment and house. She enjoys having her own space that her brother now and then crashes at. She enjoys singing and it is very sweet and melodic but doesn't do it in front of others. She has grown fond of spending at least one night a week at a cafe in the Lavender beds and has started to become friends with the staff there.

Relationships

Khana'to

Rae just calls him Khan. They have become very close referring to each other as big brother and little sister. He has taken Rae to a few places. She loves him and will fiercely defend him. They talk about a lot of things and he has been helping the timid seeker to get more confidence. He's agreed to teach her how to defend herself which she is both excited and nervous about. She trusts him and always has fun spending time with him seeing new spots. She knows no matter what she is safe with him around especially as he has literally put himself between her and danger. He also never shies away from explaining anything she might have questions about even if it would be something that would make others uncomfortable. He brought stability, reliability and adventure to her life. She knows no matter what he is there for her and won't let her down.

Shuri

Shuri takes care of Rae like a doting mother when she is about. When she got sick she kept feeding her Steppe soup to help her recover. She is rather fond of Rae and Rae enjoys her company as well. She's married to Vhaso'a and both are close to Khan which is how Rae met them. She has a room in the inn that Shuri runs. Shuri has helped Rae a bit with her style, hair and makeup as well as clothing (which Vhaso'a makes her). She will also give Rae advice on things that she isn't comfortable asking Khan about. She hasn't spent a ton of time with Shuri but she really enjoys her company. Even though they haven't spent much time together Shuri is like another mom to her.

Vhaso'a

Vhaso'a who Rae just calls Vhas is a talented tailor. He makes clothing for Rae amongst other people. He's been helping her to get the look she wants of grown but still cute. He also teachs her things she wants to learn that he is able to teach her. He is close to Khan who he picks at. Rae got a bit defensive of Khan when she first met him and he was picking at Khan. She was worried he didn't like her cause of that and it turned out being the opposite. He helped Shuri to care for her when she was sick as well. She has started to see him as a sort of paternal figure in her life.

Vice

Vice is an elezen that Rae met at Mocha & Mug one night. They were both seated at the counter having come on their own and Rae decided to try to chat with him. The two are a rather odd pairing of friends as he appears grumpy and broody while Rae is smiley and bubbly most times but they get along so well the staff at the cafe have started to tease Rae about them being more than friends (they aren't). He has noticed the signs for when Rae starts to get anxious and gives her a small poke and when she looks smiles at her to help calm her down or if it won't draw attention to her reminds her to look at where she is and that she is safe and not where her mind has taken her. They haven't known each other long but he has been a very good friend to Rae. He even took her to Coerthas by Camp Dragonhead for a snowball fight which she had a lot of fun doing.

Riovanne

Rae just calls her Rio though made sure it was only Rio after finding out bout her being a knight. Rio works at the cafe that Rae goes to regularly. She was always very kind to Rae and then they started to spend time together outside cafe hours. She is always willing to help Rae out with anything whether it be her reading, understanding something, or just talking through something. She always checks up on Rae too when she is upset about something and has learned to tell when Rae is being silently upset or her mind has her where she isn't actually. Rae kinda views her in a sisterly fashion since she assumes that Rio acts like a big sister probably should minus the razzing she reserves for her brother Szordrin. She loves Rio's little snort laugh, it always gives her a smile to hear cause that's when she knows she found something really funny. She also knows that she's safe with Rio around too.

Szordrin

Szordrin will say he isn't nice but Rae will argue that he is. He works at the cafe and became a friend of Rae's after spending time outside it together. Much like how she sees Rio in a sort of sisterly way she sees Szordrin in a sort of brotherly way cause only her brothers are as protective of her as he is. His way is just a bit quieter. He is always very nice and kind to her. He calls her ''kiddo" and when he found out how close in age they were and how folks had treated her like a child before he worried if it bothered her and it doesn't. He's almost always the first to notice Rae getting uncomfortable in situations and offers support how he can. He's rather private so Rae doesn't know a whole lot bout him but she knows he's nice to her and she's safe with him around. She always gets a smile out of when he covers his mouth in response to things cause she knows what that is but she wouldn't tell. She also enjoys his and Rio's sibling banter a ton.

Mido

Rae hasn't known Mido long but she is very comfortable with him. She feels genuine comfort and safety when with him. He is very analytical and some find him odd but she sees there is warmth and kindness there. She thinks of him as a sort of kindred spirit and doesn't worry about her scars showing at all around him where she is still a bit worried with others at times. He is always kind to her and while very educated makes sure to speak in a way that Rae understands him and doesn't get lost or made to feel dumb when they converse.

Ana

Ana is a doctor and has taken on being Rae's tutor. She's very kind and encouraging to Rae. Rae has done well under her tutelage and has gone from not knowing letters at all to sounding out how to spell and write the names of her friends though not always accurately. The seeker sees her as a mother and loves her dearly. She says that Ana is what she always imagined a mother would be like. Rae recently started to read simple children stories on her own and Ana was beyond thrilled. She brags about Rae's accomplishment and scolds her for selling them short. She gets rather mama bear and protective of her student. Ana is trying to encourage Rae to persue studies at the Studium due to how bright and inquisitive she is.

Steve Strider

Steve is a viera that Rae finds rather amusing and funny. She has decided he is her goofy brother even if he insists he is the handsome brother. They had a bit of rough start to the friendship that became found family but they got through it and she trusts him immensely. He's one she knows she can always call on and she loves him like family. She does her best to keep his spirits up even when they dip a bit. She is also fiercely protective of him even if the protection needed is from himself. He has brough joy and laughter and silliness to Rae's world that she very much needed and she loves him dearly for it.

Cohua

She's always been nice though Rae was a bit unsure during their first meeting when Cohua introduced herself by saying she doesn't bite hard. When Rae got into a spot of trouble Cohua was one of the people that came to aid in her rescue. She also offered to take the girl places as both a guard and friend.

Gail

Gail is a quiet and reserved Viera. He started as one of Rae's approved protectors though she just thinks of him as a really good friend at this point. They have spent time at the house together and recently took a trip to Bronze Lake as well. They have had a few really nice chats and she will confide in him. She trusts him and enjoys spending time with him and also views him like a brother too. Rae looks forward to more trips and getting to know him a bit better. He always tells her "if you are in danger I will come" she isn't sure how he would know if she was or not but she fully believes him when he says it. She gets really happy when she manages to get him to smirk or smile. She loves that he has always treated her equal and never like she couldn't understand anything. Even if she doesn't understand what he says he explains in a way that she doesn't question her intelligence.

I am over 40 so you need to be an adult to RP with me. I don't tolerate taking ooc ic and vice versa. They are completely separate and need to remain such. I am open to all sorts of RP but communication is a MUST. I will respect your boundaries and you are expected to show me the same respect. Rae is an alt but I do tend to be on her a good bit. Big things are communication and respect with me so if you can do that we will get along just fine. I'm here to have fun telling stories with fun people so lets have fun. I do use discord and you can ask for handle but I may prefer to wait till we RP a time or two first.
